Pet Friendly Stays and Days out in Norfolk

Dog friendly stays and days out in Norfolk………

Here at Caley Hall we love our four-legged friends which is why we’re a dog friendly hotel. From the minute you arrive there’ll be a fresh bowl of water by the door and happy faces to meet and greet your furry friend!
Dogs are welcome to join you on the wooden floor area in the bar and we also have a dog friendly restaurant where your dog can relax in a comfy bed while you enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner! If the sun in shinning the numerous patio areas offer the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cold drink or bite to eat.
All of our dog friendly rooms have direct access to a shared patio area and dogs are welcome to roam freely in your room. We do advise bringing all your own doggy essentials including their bed but we do provide a water bowl in the room.
Most of our rooms are on the ground floor but we do have a couple upstairs so please specify ground floor when booking if needed.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any grass areas within the hotel but the short walk to the beach offers plenty of opportunities for pups to do their business. It’s just a ten-minute walk to the stunning dog friendly beach at Old Hunstanton where dogs can run freely all year round. Whether your pooch loves skipping through the sand dunes, racing along the beach or a swim in the sea they are sure to have the time of their lives.

If you’re here for several nights and want to enjoy some days out and about then we recommend a visit to Sandringham Country Park or Holkham Estate.

Sandringham Estate is a short drive from Caley Hall, about 15 minutes by car. Offering a huge country park where dogs can run freely, get muddy and explore. Dogs are not allowed in the house or gardens but there’s plenty of signposted walks to enjoy. If you’re really lucky you might even spot the queen! Please do check signs for reports of any cases of Seasonal Canine Illness.

Another favourite of ours is the Holkham Estate. It’s just a twenty-five-minute drive along the scenic coast road from Caley Hall, so not too far for your pooch. On reaching Holkham turn left for the beach or right for the country park, both dog friendly.

The beautiful beach offers miles of untouched sand where dogs can run completely free, it’s a dream come true for your furry friends.
The 18th century Hall set in 3000 acres of parkland is also a delight. Dog’s should be kept on leads so not to disturb the deer and other wildlife around the park but there’s some great walks to enjoy. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the house but during the visitor season, dogs are allowed in the shop, walled garden, courtyard café and Field to Fork experience. Holkham Estate really does provide a full day of enjoyment for both dog and owners.

Caley Hall has 11 pet friendly rooms so book up quickly and enjoy a truly dog friendly break! Dogs are welcome in specific classic and small doubles / twins and some family rooms. We hope to see you soon!
