The Enchanted Journey of Light at Thursford
I’m sure many of you were looking forward to your annual visit to Thursford for the Christmas Spectacular this year but don’t despair the Enchanted Journey of Light is here!
It’s a huge disappointment for so many people this year that the Christmas Spectacular won’t be going ahead, from performers and staff to visitors and local businesses. The Thursford season is one of my favourite times of year at Caley Hall. It’s an excuse to put the Christmas dec’s up in November and enjoy the delights of Christmas for an extra month. With the smell of stuffing coming from the kitchen and Mariah Carey on the sound system that warm and fuzzy feeling comes back as we begin to welcome coaches full of excited visitors, but not this year. 2020 has certainly been a year to remember for so many reasons but don’t let it ruin your annual trip to Norfolk. Come along and visit the Enchanted Journey of Light.
If you’ve visited Thursford before then you’ll have an idea of what to expect and more from the new socially distanced festive fun. The 1km long wonderland trail begins in the main auditorium, then onto the Santa’s magical journey building, finishing outside with the new 4 acre Lantern Light Extravaganza. Enjoy the marvellous sight of decorated steam engines, fairy tale characters, penguins, polar bears (not real ones of course) and giant teddy bears and watch out for the snowman families snow balls! Top it all off with an immersive experience of light and sound and we’re sure it will be a truly magical experience for all ages.
